A good friend of ours in London is the son of a third generation of butchers in Saumurs, France called Girardeau. They win prizes every year on the strength of his fromage de tete (brawn to you and me) and his pigs trotters.
With my baby now a week late, my energy levels for cooking are slightly depleted. Thoughts of making pork pies, slow-cooked joints and exciting puddings are far from my mind. Now all I want to do is eat something delicious, fast and easy. So I thought I'd do a mini-series of recipes with this just in mind. Hopefully you'll find them blissfully simple and tasty too!
