Last weekend I went to my third Standon Calling. I missed it last year as was knee-deep in recipe testing for Mexican Food Made Simple and can remmber the feeling of frustration as I cooked and ate, and as my friends all danced the night away.
This year we had a little bit of rain on Saturday, but other than that sunshine and amazing, amazing music. I LOVE the summer and music and dancing around in a field. I wonder if I am ever going to grow out of this love and if babies can join in too some day? Just too much fun.
Highlights were Etienne de Crecy and his amazing laser show on Saturday night as well as Mano de Dios, a band guaranteed to make you jig up and down every time you hear them play. Jackson Scott is a wonder at Flamenco and Spanish music. I just love this band. Check them out next time they are playing because they cause irresistible movements in your limbs, rather like having some red dancing shoes on...
Other bands I loved were Alice Rusell, Esben and the Witch and Mr. Fogg, seen below...

He had a quiet spot on Sunday but I loved his music. He said 'I am Mr. Fogg' which made no reference to his band who were singing along behind him so I wondered who they were, but the sound was really, really great.
I definitely drank a little too much tequila so I was delighted to see a burrito van in the food section especially when I had reports back on how good the burritos were. Added fillings were guacamole and chorizo. CHORIZO!!! What a brilliant idea to have that as an added filling. We've got to do that at Wahaca! I had one with guacamole, beans, cheese, salsa, lettuce and chorizo and it was absolutely delicious. I chatted to the team and they were great! We swapped news on getting better flour wraps and the ins and outs of burritos and then one of them spotted me from Masterchef. They thenmade such a to-do that I ran off in embarrassment but I sneaked back later to be snapped alongside their van.

Luardos burritos - great burritos guys - I loved them! They were great after all that dancing! I am definitely going to try that chorizo. I'll let you know...
